Factory Frenzy is designed to help students build a factor tree. This game is also about strategy.
Objective:
Find the most prime numbers
Materials:
2 or more players/teams Anything to write on and with
How to Play:
Players pick a composite number at random, the higher the better - but stay within ability range. 100 is a good starter number for new players. Player 1 factors the number using only TWO factors. Player 1 circles any prime factors and initials it. Player 2 chooses ONE of the two factors to factor, using only two more factors. The game ends when only prime numbers are left. The Player with the most initials wins.

Examples:
Make the most prime numbers Factor 100 Player 1 factors to 50 and 2. 1 prime number. Player 2 factors 50 to 25 and 2. 1 prime number. Player 1 factors 25 to 5 and 5. 2 prime numbers. Player 2 has 3 points and wins the round.
Make the most composite numbers Factor 176 Player 1 factors to 2 and 88. 1 composite number. Player 2 factors 88 to 44 and 2. 1 composite number. Player 1 factors 44 to 22 and 2. 1 composite number. Player 2 factors 22 to 11 and 1. No composite numbers. Player 1 has 2 points and wins the round.
