Objective:
Be the first person to build a complete Gallon Man
Materials Preparation for 1 Gallon Man:
4 different colored sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper Label 1 Sheet Gallon Cut one sheet into fourths and label each one Quarts Cut one sheet into eighths and label each one Pints Cut one sheet into sixteenths and label each one Cups Or Gallon Man Template (I prefer using the different colored sheets as a visual aid to help beginning students)
Materials:
1 complete Gallon Man Card set per student. 1 die
Object of the Game:
Be the first person/team to complete Gallon Man
How to Play:
Player 1 rolls the dice and takes that many CUPS indicated by the dice. (ex. Player rolls 6 and takes 2 cup pieces and 2 pint pieces = 6 cups altogether). The other Players repeat the process. On his/her turn a player may switch out pieces for an equivalent piece (ex. 2 cups for 1 pint, 4 cups for 1 quart). The first player to collect on the pieces to build Gallon Man wins.
Rules:
Players may only switch out for 1 piece per turn (ex. 16 cups can be exchanged for 1 gallon, but not for 4 quarts or 8 pints)
